Extend CrazyToad

Add new tools from the Shop.

The Shop is where you give CrazyToad new capabilities — MCP servers, skills, and plugins. Browse curated and live entries, inspect the risk before you commit, install to the right scope, or ask Toad to build a tool that does not exist yet. You review before you approve; nothing installs silently.

At a glance

  • Give CrazyToad new capabilities — MCP servers, skills, and plugins.
  • Browse both curated entries and live sources in one place.
  • Inspect the risk sheet before you commit — you review, then you approve.
  • Install to the right scope — one workspace or global — or ask Toad to build one.

What you can add

The Shop stocks three kinds of extension, each doing a different job. Pick by what you are missing: outside tool access, know-how for a task, or new behavior baked into the app.

MCP serversGive agents tool access to outside services and data
SkillsAdd procedural knowledge — how to do a specific kind of task well
PluginsExtend the app itself with new behavior

Browse, probe, approve, install

Shop items carry a kind, source, risk level, network footprint, and install scope. Known tools install directly after you inspect them; new tools can be described to Toad, built on demand, and registered through the same installer lane. What you install here shows up in the Workbench and the surfaces where agents run — including Studio.

  1. Filter by kind. Choose MCP servers, skills, or plugins depending on whether you need tool access, procedural knowledge, or app extension code.
  2. Read the risk sheet. Network access, source, permissions, and install scope are all visible before approval — so you know what a tool can reach before it lands.
  3. Install to the right scope. Workspace installs stay with one repo; global installs are for tools you want everywhere.
  4. Build with Toad. Describe a missing capability and let CrazyToad scaffold the extension on demand, instead of leaving the app to hand-write one.
Note
Nothing installs silently — you review the risk sheet, then you approve. The Shop surfaces network access, source, permissions, and install scope up front, so an install is always a decision you make, not one made for you.
