Subscription logins

  • Claude and Codex sign in with the CLI’s own login. No key to paste.
  • Add several Claude and Codex accounts. Each one gets its own CLI profile.
  • Pick which account an agent uses with the Account chip when you start it.

API keys and OpenAI-compatible endpoints

  • Add a Claude API key, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint: Gemini API, Grok, vLLM, llama.cpp and more.
  • Every model row says Subscription or API key, so you always know what’s billed.

Local models

  • Point CrazyToad at Ollama or LM Studio on your PC. Installed models are found for you.
  • Local models can run Toad’s brain and your agents.

The model picker

S7 · model-picker
  • Models are discovered automatically: Claude from your login or API key, Codex from its CLI, local and OpenAI-compatible endpoints from their model lists.
  • Choose an effort level, up to Extra high or Max where the model supports it.
  • Set it for Toad’s brain, and per agent.

Note
Gemini as a pane agent needs an Antigravity account. Toad’s brain reaches Gemini through the Gemini API instead.
